FELLOW OF MASM (FMASM)

FMASM PURPOSE

A Fellow Award is conferred in order to honour individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to sports and exercise in medicine and science.

Criteria for nomination as fellow of the malaysian association of sports medicine (FMASM)


1. Membership Status

Must be a Life Member of the Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine (MASM).

2. Professional Expertise

Nominee must have achieved a distinguished level of expertise in Sports Medicine, Sports Science, Exercise Science or related fields recognised by MASM Council by virtue of academic qualification, postgraduate training, leadership roles and commitment in developing MASM in line with its missions, visions and aims.

3. Contributions to the Field

Nominees must have made significant and commendable contributions to the field of Sports Medicine, Sports Science, Exercise Science or related fields, as acknowledged by MASM Council. This can be demonstrated through:

  1. Scholar publications in Sports Medicine, Sports Science, Exercise Science or related fields.
  2. Consultative roles, including participation in Working Groups, Technical Committees or Task Forces.
  3. Development of Inventions, Innovations, or Patents.
  4. Receipt of relevant Awards.
  5. Engagement in Community Service.
4. Ongoing Involvement with MASM:

A history of ongoing contribution and support to MASM's events, spanning a minimum of 10 years.

5. Peer Recognition:

Must be acknowledged by their peers as an expert and leader in the field of Sports Medicine, Sports Science, Exercise Science or related areas, as recognised by the MASM Council.
